#Lesson1GivingandReceivingGifts

The first lesson in this Christianity RE scheme of work for Year 1 encourages your KS1 class to think about their own experiences of giving and receiving gifts and asks them to think about different times of the year we give presents, and who we give them to. During the teaching input, the included slideshow presentation challenges your class to think about different times when we give and receive gifts, and explores how it feels to get a present and give a present through role-play. Great plan with all you need to deliver a first class lesson. Took the children through a journey of exploring why we give gifts at Christmas . Great as the children kbow the Christmas story and the amount of time given to the whole story is adequate, encouraged children to think deeper. Well differentiated for the majority of the class and was easily adapted for the chids whose needs weren't met.
