Ethical Trading

Ethical Trade: teach children about being responsible consumers and happy shoppers!

What is ethical trade? Why is ethical trading important? Challenge your primary class to consider how the products we use everyday are produced, and at what cost to the lives of others and to the environment. Help your KS1 and KS2 children become ethical consumers, understand what fair trade is, and learn about the impact of 'fast fashion' on the lives of others around the world.

These ethical trading mini-schemes of work for Key Stages 1 and 2 are perfect for teaching separately as standalone units of work, but they also form part of our larger Education for Social Responsibility curriculum for the whole school.
