During their independent art time, they can then either work together to create a mural in the Madhubani style, or use viewfinders to sketch different sections of a variety of Indian paintings.

This Mehndi Art lesson for Year 3 or Year 4 looks at the beautiful and intricate Mehndi patterns used to decorate hands, feet, legs and arms. The slideshow presentation for the teaching input explores how henna is used and looks at the variety of symmetrical patterns that can be applied.
